Lily joined BLUR in 2023 and received a Master of Architecture from Cornell University with an interest in a blend of traditional and modern design elements. Her eye for design has been influenced by her diverse background, travels, and natural sense of play. Lily’s curiosities have taken her around the world and allowed her to make friends from all walks of life who have inspired her further with their own interpretations of art and design.
One major influence came from a friend studying architecture at Columbia University, who urged her to take a class. Being as far removed from her actual major in Financial Economics as she possibly could, Lily took the challenge and loved her experience in the architecture field. The defining moment came when she took a trip to Barcelona, and when visiting La Sagrada Familia, she had an epiphany and decided to study architecture.
Before finding architecture, Lily used to be a traveling musician. She performed in many venues around the world as a violinist, and since then she has always had a love for the performing arts and a particular interest in venues themselves. Her dream project to design would most likely be a theatre or concert hall.
