MONTENEGRO MARINA HOTEL

Lustica Peninsula, Montenegro

Located along the steep southern slopes of Luštica, Montenegro, the hotel is conceived as an integral component of a larger resort town development, where architecture, landscape, and circulation work together to shape a cohesive coastal experience. Each guestroom is carefully oriented to capture a private and distinct view of the Adriatic Sea, reinforcing a strong connection between interior life and the surrounding topography. The design approach blends contemporary forms with references to the vernacular and cultural heritage of Luštica, creating a dialogue between tradition and modern resort living.

The arrival sequence is organized around a court that evokes the character of a local town square, opening into a contemporary lobby framed by expansive sea views. Above the entry level, a strategically positioned lobby bar extends the guest experience upward, capturing views toward the snow-capped peaks to the east. The project’s multi-tiered terrace strategy is shaped by the steep terrain, minimizing cut-and-fill while allowing the architecture to step naturally with the landscape. Guest amenities are distributed along a continuous herb-lined pedestrian path, connecting spa facilities, pools, culinary experiences, and leisure spaces that culminate in a walk along the cliff edge to the beach below, reinforcing a continuous relationship between movement, nature, and place.
