UNITED STATES AIR FORCE ACADEMY HOTEL

Colorado Springs, Colorado

Sited just outside of the North Gate entrance of the United States Air Force Academy, Hotel Polaris is a 375 key conference hotel that extends the campus' celebrated mid-century modern legacy. Completed in September of 2024, the design reinterprets the Academy's tectonic order through a disciplined structural grid, strong horizontal datums, and a calibrated palette of aluminum, glass and vibrant tile resulting in a balanced academic rigor with contemporary hospitality. A choreographed arrival sequence frames sweeping axial views across a prairie-inspired landscape, reinforcing a sense of procession and place. Inside, terrazzo floors, warm wood ceilings, and bold mid-century furnishings sets a tone that is both timeless and distinctly site-specific. Aviation inspired bar spaces, floor-to-ceiling mountain views, and a resort style pool deck with the Rocky Mountain backdrop complete a hotel that is as much a destination as it is a gateway to one of the nation's most storied institutions.
