michael gunter

Having always been drawn to creative fields, Michael started his professional life in advertising.  It was the combination of intensity, rigor and creativity within the advertising industry that inspired him to transition to the field of architecture.  This dual career path has given Michael a strong balance between conceptual thinking and attention to detail that makes him a valuable member of the BLUR Workshop team.

Michael joined BLUR Workshop with seven years of architectural experience, specializing in hospitality projects along with a variety of other building types.  Notable projects include renovations of the Hilton Atlanta and the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley, and build-out of a new Westin in Buffalo, New York.  He also worked on a twelve-floor renovation of a large Atlanta law firm and a new corporate Research and Development facility for a lighting manufacturer.  Whether it is ground-up or a renovation project, Michael is able to contribute to the design and assist with the management of internal design team, consultants or contractors.   He is driven by a passion for design and enjoys seeing a project evolve from a digital model to the final built reality.
