ladybird grove & mess hall expansion

Atlanta, Georgia

Ladybird is a popular and notorious destination bar & restaurant on the busiest part of Atlanta’s beltline in the Old 4th Ward. BLUR Workshop worked with Electric hospitality to develop and expand existing exterior areas as well as adding 5,650 sf of interior dining.

The main addition, created from a gutted existing warehouse space, includes 2 floors, 2 new bars, restrooms for the entire location, and dining areas. BLUR worked closely with client and contractor to carefully select and curate the intricate reclaimed finishes and found objects that support the existing restaurant’s famous “summer camp for adults” theme. The upper floor “Ranger Station” is an invitation-only bar, complete with its own hidden exterior entry stair.
