Located in the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, the Emerald Bay Marketplace & Café is a much-needed addition to the hustle and bustle of this large hotel. The marketplace occupies three existing retail venues and is centrally located in the grand atrium. Combining the offerings of other separately located existing venues, everything is streamlined into one centrally placed, multifunctional space. This not only reduced staff while increasing offerings, but also freed up space for newer venues with different items and price points.

The design aesthetics were inspired by the rich heritage of Florida art-deco architecture and the lively nature of modern open-air markets. Textures like classic Florida woven wicker, custom mosaic flooring and art deco terrazzo, handmade tiles, natural marbles, and cerused white oak millwork give the marketplace a playful yet sophisticated identity.

The new central marketplace & café serves as the ideal spot to grab a quick bit to eat before the lounging by the pool or a spot for a gourmet to-go meal & craft coffee between conferences. The flexible arrangement of moveable tables and baskets serves as an easy way to transform the space to cater to guest needs throughout the day and is designed to accommodate breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additional snacks, wine, pre-made cocktails, frozen yogurt, and a fully staffed coffee shop are also incorporated into the offerings, making Emerald Bay Marketplace & Café the perfect one-stop-shop for hotel guests.
