Between the trees

Confidential Location

This event center was envisioned as a destination for weddings, celebrations, and community gatherings while honoring the site's historic character. The conceptual master plan preserves and revitalizes a historic house, integrating it into a larger hospitality campus that blends historic architecture with new event-focused amenities. Careful consideration was given to maintaining the mature tree canopy and creating a walkable environment that connects the various experiences across the site.

The historic home serves as the primary arrival experience and is reimagined as a restaurant with indoor dining and an outdoor terrace overlooking the event lawn. Extending from the rear of the building, a new two-story event center provides flexible gathering space, bridal suites, and support amenities designed to accommodate weddings, receptions, and private celebrations. An existing home on the property is transformed into a President's Lounge overlooking the event lawn and outdoor amphitheater, offering a more intimate hospitality experience within the campus. Future phases explore the addition of a piano bar and a cozy beer and wine garden nestled among the trees, further activating the site with unique gathering destinations. The design leverages the site's natural topography to discreetly incorporate parking beneath the event center while minimizing visual impact. Landscaped pathways weave between the various venues, creating an immersive destination that celebrates Alpharetta's character while providing a distinctive setting for dining, entertainment, and community engagement.
