Allison is a gifted architect and designer who brings her many talents to bear on a large variety of project types and activities. To date, her career has been focused on hospitality and public assembly spaces. Her professional experiences are varied, ranging from renovation to ground-up projects, master plans to interior detailing, and concept designs to construction administration.
She is consistently instrumental to the success of any project in which she participates. Because of her keen insight, talent, and facility, Allison is regularly selected for many of BLUR’s high profile projects. Currently, she is leading the BLUR design team for a new ground-up hotel in midtown Nashville that will be operated by Virgin Hotels which is due to open in early 2020. She is also leading the BLUR team as the senior designer and project manager of a 40-story hotel and residential tower in Miami, Florida. During her previous career at tvsdesign, she played essential roles in both the Cairo Festival City Plaza and Hotel Masterplan and the Edison Craft Ales + Kitchen at the Grove Park Inn restaurant, from schematic design to construction. Her impact is important both toward the quality of the design and the performance of the team. She is a wonderful teammate and collaborator, who brings her own touch to the design and positively impacts the resulting project.
Allison’s thought process is influenced by her experience and interests. She is well-traveled and brings her exposure to other cultures and places to her design work. She has an intense passion for the beauty and science of materials, and a deep interest in how people will feel in and occupy a space. This tactile and empathetic design approach impacts and influences all of our work at BLUR. Allison moves seamlessly between architecture and interior design which makes her an essential team member on the firm’s most dynamic spaces.
