Samantha yarmowich

Samantha joined the BLUR Workshop team after graduating from Mississippi State’s interior design program in 2019. Feeling the need to create beauty around her since she was little, Samantha’s passion for art and design gives her the drive to design functional and inspirational spaces in which users feel welcome. She leans towards space planning and conceptual aspects of design, but is also drawn towards construction documentation due to her attention to detail.

During her time at BLUR, Samantha has contributed to a multitude of projects, ranging from the Columbus Crew Soccer Stadium, to the ground-up Highlander Hotel in Radford, Virginia. The stadium’s unique hospitality touch has been a one-of-a-kind learning experience, merging the two worlds of sports facilities and hospitality design. The Highlander Hotel exposed her to guestroom and ballroom design, along with the experience in full-ground up construction.

She is currently working on a number of renovation projects, including Gaylord Resort’s well-known restaurant, Old Hickory Steakhouse. This renovation is very multi-faceted as it includes a whole addition of interior dining space, re-working wine storage, relocating the bar in order to create more visibility as you enter, as well as adding an entirely new bar. Located in Grapevine, Texas, the renovation of Old Hickory is intended to give the restaurant a touch of modern flare on a traditional Texas steakhouse while increasing functionality. Samantha is also working on the renovation of Hyatt Centric in Midtown Atlanta, which will be her first guestroom renovation as well as her first local project to tackle. 

Outside of interior design, Samantha enjoys painting and spending time with friends and family. She takes advantage of Atlanta’s wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking and visiting the city’s numerous parks, along with exploring new restaurants. While out and about, she seeks out design inspiration that influences her professional work. Samantha’s love for design and her lively personality makes her a great addition to the BLUR team.
