matt singleton

In partnership with his BLUR Workshop teammates, Matt has grown to be an instrumental part of our team. A born and raised Georgia native, he graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture. Previous experiences took him across the east coast from retail and hospitality renovations in New York City to specialized contractors in North Georgia. Matt’s work has ranged from digital to physical, and small to large. He has experience in graphic design, foundation construction, furniture restoration, material experimentation, digital fabrication, and enjoys pushing the boundaries of his architectural toolkit. His enthusiasm and curiosity make him a perfect fit within the firm, reflecting the core values upon which BLUR Workshop was founded.

Currently Matt’s most recent projects included a confidential mixed use 3-tower development in Philadelphia, an Airbnb styled residential tower in Nashville, and a conversion of an existing building into the popular Atlanta restaurant Muchacho. His previous experience at BLUR includes a large breath of work. He was a key member in the design of Virgin Hotel Miami, partnered with teammates in the planning of a large masterplan for a lifestyle center in the Rocky Mountains, a surfing and entertainment park in Texas, and the renovation of the resort court at the Hyatt Regency Aruba. Matt was also involved in the documentation efforts for several interior design projects including Columbus Crew Soccer Stadium and the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Renovation.

Beyond architecture and interior design, he has grown to lead integral parts of our company. Matt crafted and leads a new onboarding process for our organization resulting in a more engaging and welcoming process for each of our new team members. Additionally, Matt serves as a key player on the marketing team and helps to craft the website, brochures, proposals, and branded materials.
