Kayleigh McFarland

Kayleigh graduated in May of 2023 from the University of Georgia’s Interior Design program within the Lamar Dodd School of Art. In addition to her Bachelor of Fine Arts, she completed her Certificate of Sustainability, which ignited her passion for environmentally conscious and resilient design. In May of 2022, she earned her LEED Green Associate accreditation, further refining her education in green building. During her time as a student she explored a number of project types, ranging from hotels and homes, to office spaces and even a contemporary art museum. A very meaningful part of her undergraduate education was receiving the opportunity to study abroad in Cortona, Italy. There, she explored eight different cities and saw countless pieces of medieval, renaissance, and contemporary art. Studying in Italy revealed her love of travel and passion for historic preservation.

Originally from the historic city of Savannah, she grew up admiring the beauty of the Georgia coast and channeling her innate creativity into visual and performance art. She aspires to become NCIDQ certified and earn her LEED AP ID+C credentials to work on innovative projects that better the built environment around us.

In addition to her love of design Kayleigh enjoys photography, ballet, oil painting, and lying on the beach in the sun.
