Jihey Cho

Jihey joins the BLUR Workshop team with a broad range of experience on high-profile projects in the fields of Hospitality, Retail, Workplace, Cultural Arts and Convention Center projects.   During a previous tenure at tvsdesign, her project work includes the Mercedes Benz Stadium (Atlanta), Hyatt Regency Downtown (Atlanta), LPL Financial (Fort Mill, SC), Mattress Firm Headquarter (Huston, TX), Nanchang Aquarium (China) and Mall Plaza (Chile).  She has worked in all phases of interior design from concept and schematic design to construction administration.  It was through Jihey’s work on the Mercedes Benz Stadium Club Levels and various lobby renovations that she discovered her love of Hospitality Design.

Jihey’s passion for user experience shows clearly in her work.  With a strong attention to detail, she explores the various ways in which guests will spend time in each space. From the scale of a table, to the luxurious feel of a piece of fabric, all elements are carefully considered for a wide range of guest experiences.  Additionally, her collaborative and easygoing nature not only makes her a perfect fit for the BLUR Workshop team, but also an intelligent partner to consultants, vendors, contractors and clients.

Jihey started her education in painting before getting in to the design industry.  It was through the creative process of her fine art education that she found her way into her design profession.  She grew up in South Korea and graduated B.F.A. in painting in South Korea and M.F.A. in interior design, Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta.
