Amber joins BLUR Workshop as an intern for the fall semester of 2018 as part her academic curriculum at Auburn University’s Interior Design program. This December, she will be graduating from the College of Human Sciences with her Bachelors of Science in Interior Design. She enjoys learning and understanding the relationship between people and their built environment and how design impacts one mentally, physically, and socially. Amber has a passion for sustainable solutions and has recently received her LEED G.A certification and wants to continue her education in LEED and WELL. She also has an eye for intricate detail and is inspired by music, black and white photography, and historical motifs.
At BLUR Workshop, Amber is currently working on the interior design of Hyatt Centric Nashville and the Hyatt Regency Atlanta guestroom renovation. Her experience on these projects is helping to further to her knowledge of furnishings, fixtures, and material vendors as well as technical skills from the use of Revit. She has taken a keen interest in hotel design and hopes to continue on in the hospitality field.
Amber is bold, curious, free-spirited and has a vivid imagination. She has a desire to try new things, even when they’re outside of her comfort level. Outside of the office, she is enjoys going to music festivals and concerts, and finds herself at Disney World quite often.
